Making A House on Sketch-Up 

When you open Sketch-Up you click the simple template.

• The Base: For the base of the house, I downloaded blueprints of a regular simple house and use that as my foundation for the house. 
• The Walls:  To make the walls I used the "Shapes" tool to make a rectangle on the floor where my blueprints are. Next to make the rectangle be 3 dimensional, you use the "Push/Pull" tool. Then you have to right click on top of the cube to click the "Hide" option, this allows you to see the floor plan. 
• Walls for Rooms: To make a room, you had to follow the floor plan. I used the same tool that I used to make the walls for the bases of the house to make rooms. Then I used the "Push/Pull" tool to make the wall rise. This creates different sections in your house which are rooms. 
• The Roof: The roof was the most complicated for me personally. To make the roof you have to use the "shapes" tool to make a big rectangle over your house. Next, you have to press the "Push/Pull" tool to life your roof up. When you first do this, it just looks like a big cube over  your house. You have to use the "offset" tool to push the sides of the the cube roof to give it that front triangle shape. 

               The Furniture

  I used the warehouse to get furniture that was already pre-made. I would just download it and drag it to wherever I wanted in my house. 

• Doors: I also downloaded the doors from the warehouse. However to place the door I had to make a rectangular hole in my wall to make the door fit. If the door was to big or small, I could use the "Scaling" tool to make it the right size. 
• Windows: I also downloaded the windows from the warehouse. It was simple to put windows because all you did was put them on the wall and you could already see through them. 

Making the Movie

To make the movie you have to make scenes on sketch up using the animation tools. I would go to different angles inside and outside the house. Afterward I rendered it and saved it to my folder. Then I opened my video to Windows Movie Maker. I made the into which is where I put the address of my home. Next I put captions on my video that were persuading enough so people could be interested in buying the house. For the ending I put the  price of the home and the realtors contact information for anybody interested who wanted more info. Finally, I downloaded my movie as "Android phone (large) " to make it small enough to put on my Blogger.
